Condition Monitoring of Pump – Motors
Combination of NDT techniques is what is needed to conduct condition monitoring of Pump - Motors. Vibration, Thermography, and Ultrasound inspections are the techniques with which we can monitor Pump - Motors effectively. Here the customer can opt for all three techniques together or can opt for a combination of Vibration Analysis plus Ultrasound Analysis.
Our Product:
A. Condition Monitoring of Pumps
  1. Herein under the Vibration Analysis will be used to detect:
  1. Mechanical Induced Vibrations due to,
  1. Bad Bearings
  2. Bent Shaft
  3. Unbalanced rotor
  4. Check-Valve installed backwards
  5. Misalignment
  6. Soft foot
  7. Maximum Size Impeller
  8. Piping Strain
  1. System Induced Vibrations due to,
  1. Partially / Plugged Strainer
  2. Clogged Impeller or Suction Line
  3. Installation
  1. Operationally Induced Vibrations due to,
  1. Cavitations

  1. Herein under the Ultrasound Analysis will be used to detect cavitation in pumps. The cause of cavitation in pumps is usually due to insufficient NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) energy on the suction side of the pump. This can be caused by:
  • Having the pump at too high of a distance above the fluid source
  • Having too small of a diameter of suction pipe
  • Having too long of a distance of suction pipe
  • Having too many fittings on the suction pipe
  • Having a liquid with a low vapor pressure
  • Running the pump too fat

  1. Herein under the Thermography Survey of Pump enables to identify the condition of bearings. The bearing is mapped thermally from specific defined distance and angle. The distance and angle is noted down in the data. The thermogram is saved to compare with further thermograms those will be taken during CM program.

B. Condition Monitoring of Motors
  1. Herein under the following defects are detected during condition monitoring of motor:
  1. Bent Shaft
  2. Winding healthiness
  3. Unbalanced rotor
  4. Electrical problems – broken or cracked rotor bar winding
  5. Uneven gap between stator and rotor
  6. Failed or faulty bearings
  7. Eccentric rotor
  8. Resonance
  9. Transmitted vibrations from pump

C. Apart from above alignment of pump & motor, loose or deformed base rail, soft foot, mechanical looseness will also be checked.
The rates depend upon the combination of equipments and techniques and also upon  the tenure of contract with exclusive discounts for five year contracts.
